How Nora Janne began
Nora was twenty-two when she came to Antwerp from the Netherlands, with a suitcase, a sketchbook full of designs and a six-month plan: an exchange at the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

Six months that became ten years
Pattern cutting in the morning, fabrics in the afternoon and, in the evening, endless walks through the Zuid district. On one of those evenings she met Thomas.
Those six months have since become ten years. Antwerp stopped being a stopover and became home.

Clothes for real women, not mannequins
After her studies, Nora spent years working for big fashion brands. She learned everything about cut, fabric and finish, but she also saw clothes made for mannequins, not for women like her mother or her friends. One day she took the leap and started her own brand.
And the name? Nora Janne is simply her own name: Nora, with Janne as her middle name. Today it is the name of the brand… and of her boutique in Antwerp.

So Ymillia can be proud
Today Nora is thirty-two and has one big dream: to build a brand women wear with pride. And above all, that Ymillia, her six-year-old daughter, can one day say: ‘my mum made this’.
That is why we choose every piece with you in mind: its drape, its fabric and its finish. And if something is not right, you have 30 days to change your mind.
